Modern Medicine Makes Mistake...

Yesterday was our formal ultrasound with the Maternal Fetal Medicine (high risk) group at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. They reviewed both Baby A and Baby B in detail. They analyzed the size of their organs, bone measurements, etc. All of the findings were normal, although they were unable to get a couple shots. The babies weigh approx. 1 pound 9 ounces each, which puts them ahead of schedule for size. That was encouraging news. We will have a repeat ultrasound with this group every 4 weeks, until birth.

The biggest news from the ultrasound is that it was determined a mistake was made at our last ultrasound with the gender of Baby B - it's a girl!! Baby A is clearly a boy and as you can see in the pictures below Baby B appears to be a girl. Tomorrow we have an appointment with our OB, who I'm sure will find this news interesting, since she thought they were both boys. I can't wait to see what she says. Enjoy the pictures!
