4 week update!

Sam and Madie are 4 weeks old but their birthday wasn't what they(or Nikki and I for that matter) were expecting. Both kids woke up Friday morning with fevers and were taken to the ER at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. They are being treated for a bacterial infection (although it is most likely viral) and will remain at NMCP until at least Sunday afternoon. Sam and Madie had to have spinal taps in addtion to the entire battery of tests required to rule out the many bad things that can affect newborns. So far all the tests have come back negative. Please keep the twins in your thoughts and prayers for a quick and speedy recovery. Nikki and her mom are with them until Chris leaves on Sunday. Thank you to all who have helped out with rides and errands for us. We'll post some pictures when they come home.
