Where Does Time Go?

It's hard to believe it's the middle of July and the twins are nearly 3 months old. We've had a busy summer learning the ropes and adjusting to life with two newborns.

We've spent the last two days recuperating from Nikki's parents and brother's family visiting. Sam & Madie enjoyed a few days with their only cousins, Kolton & Ian. They also met Grandpa Bishell, Aunt Steph & Uncle Tony for the first time. I'm not sure what Sam & Madie thought at the time, but they've been looking & listening for Kolton & Ian since they left. As you can see from the pictures the boys were helpful - participating in a feeding, helping with bath time, etc. We had a jam-packed couple of days with all of them - enjoying a boat & jet ski day at First Landing State Park with our dear friends Dana & Jim, taking in the Aquarium (fish, sea turtles and sharks, oh my!), dining along the boardwalk and playing on the jungle gym. I'm sure they will spend the next couple of days recuperating too! Thanks for visiting. We had a blast and we hope the drive wasn't too long on the way back.

Sam & Madie have discovered their thumbs in the past two weeks. It's quite amusing, since it takes them awhile to actually find their thumb, so we have wet slobbery fists. They continue to smile - no laughs yet, but we know they are just around the corner. They are holding up their heads well, so we've introduced the Bumbo chairs, which they seem to enjoy. Have a great weekend.
