Thankful . . .

Wishing you all a belated Happy Thanksgiving. We hope your day was special, spent with those near to your heart and that you took the time to reflect on the blessings in your life. We have so much to be thankful for and as we sat down to Thanksgiving dinner, we both reflected that our table will be full and lively for many years to come.

Now, on to that holiday stuff. We spent last weekend putting up the Christmas decorations. After three rounds of lighting fiascos outside, I think Jason finally has all the lights working (I hope). We put the tree up last weekend, but didn't get to decorating it until this past Friday evening. The kids look at it, walk up to it in their walkers, but have yet to pull it down! I also did some "crazy people shopping" the day after Thanksgiving with my friend Rachel - 4:45 a.m. We had a blast, got some great deals, and were home by 9:30 a.m. Of course I still have some shopping to do, but at least I've started.

Sam & Madie are doing good. They caught a cold late last weekend. I think it's only inevitable that once a cold enters the house, it must make the rounds. So it started with Madie, then Sam, then Joan, a touch for Mom and Dad. Of course it's the worst for the twins and there is little we can do for them - humidifier, Baby Vicks, vapor baths, and a lot of nose wiping. We can add Kleenex to our stock options for the week (in addition to Pampers & Similac). Needless to say we've had a few long nights this past week.

We are looking forward to our upcoming travels to Wisconsin for the holidays. Wait...let me rephrase that. We are looking forward to seeing everyone, introducing Sam & Madie and sharing the holidays with family. We're a little uneasy about the packing and airplane rides ahead of us though. I imagine with time, we'll be pros.

Enjoy some pictures from the last few weeks. Take care & stay warm!
