The Naidyhorski's: 11 Month Update

Cruising and crawling should be the title of this update, because that is what Sam & Madie have been up to the last month. They are crawling, pulling up, cruising around the furniture and having a blast. It's amazing how red their knees get, how they've nearly worn holes in the knees of their jeans, and how many bumps and bruises they've received in the last month! It sure tires them out! We've installed baby gates and cupboard locks now that they are mobile, as they like to check out any cupboard or drawer that opens.

They have so much personality and are little sponges, learning so much. Last weekend Sam took all the blocks out of the bucket, then put them all back it (one by one) and when he was finished, he raised his arms, "So big" and clapped his hands (with no encouragement). It was like he was saying, "hey look what I did." Madie can push the walk-behind toy across the family room and gives big grins when she's finished. And both love books and actually pull them out of the basket and sit and flip through the pages on their own. Of course we still do lots of reading to them, but it is neat to see them sit there and do it themselves. They are starting to pick up on the basics of sign language too and are signing back, which is rewarding to see.
