They say time flies and it certainly does. I'm not sure where the last 2 months have gone. I'm sure that sleep deprivation has something to do with some of it, but seriously I can't believe the twins have been in our lives for 2 months. It just seems like we brought them home from the hospital.
Yesterday they had their 2 month check-up and their first immunizations. Somehow Dad planned it well and was out of town to miss those shots. Lucky Dad! Their appointment went well and they are growing, growing, growing. Sam weighed it at 13 lbs. 1 oz. and 24 inches long. Madie weighed in at 10 lbs. 7 oz. and 22 inches long. Immunizations went fine, minus a few tears, they took a good nap on the way home.
They are eating and sleeping well for their age. We have nights where they go 5 hours and then we have nights (like this week) where they go 3.5 hours between feedings. They are going through a growth spurt right now, eating like little pigs, which is why they are up more frequently. Although, with two newborns, who lately eat at different times, that leaves little time for Mom to sleep. So, just as I get one fed and down, back to bed, 30 minutes later, the next wakes up. This can continue to what seems like an endless night. Overall, they are happy, healthy little ones and we couldn't ask for anything more. Enjoy the two month photos.
